Not quite sure where we were - between Manchester and York. A beautiful spot to begin our sojourn in England.

York

It is in York that we spent our first weekend: home of Yorkminster and Betty's Tea Room.

Hadrian's Wall

The Roman emperor Hadrian built this wall to keep out the Barbarian Scots. To learn more about the wall, click on the title Hadrian's Wall and view a link to the exhibition at the British Museum.

We Are Together!

Thus begins our itinerary as the choir of The Church of the Holy Spirit arrives in England for a ten day residency at Durham Cathedral. The choir previously visited Wells Cathedral and Ely Cathedral. This was a new part of England for us: the Yorkshire Dales! the Moors! the sheep!Beauteous!
